Bluence by Isotrol has integrated its Remote Operation Control Center (ROCC) into the new Pike County Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), developed by AES Indiana. With 200 MW of storage capacity and a four-hour discharge duration, it stands among the most significant BESS projects in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) region.

This integration marks a major step forward in Bluence’s support for utility-scale storage management, enabling remote operation and real-time control of critical assets through a centralized, secure platform. AES Indiana’s initiative is part of a $1.1 billion investment to modernize the energy infrastructure in Pike County, and includes additional solar and hybrid projects in the coming years.

The deployment of Bluence’s ROCC in this flagship project highlights the platform’s growing role in supporting utilities’ operational agility and energy transition strategies—especially in key regions like the Midwest, where grid reliability and flexibility are increasingly vital.
