Energy dialogues from the Albero: A key forum for the renewable future in Andalusia

On May 8, coinciding with Seville’s April Fair, Bluence by Isotrol proudly hosted “Energy Dialogues from the Albero” at the Fundación Valentín de Madariaga y Oya. This forum brought together leading voices from the energy sector to explore the major trends and challenges shaping the present and future of renewable energy in Andalusia and across Spain.
During the event, the strategic importance of renewables for the country was highlighted. Jorge Paradela, Regional Minister of Industry, Energy, and Mines for the Andalusian Government, described renewables as “the oil Spain never had,” setting a bold target for the region to reach 20 GW of installed capacity by 2026. Paradela also emphasized the urgent need to strengthen transmission infrastructure and boost investments in energy storage—critical elements to ensure system stability and efficiency.

Also noteworthy was the intervention of Armando Zuluaga, General Director at Ferrovial Infrastructure, who called for a unified national regulatory framework to clarify permitting timelines and guarantee the bankability of energy projects. Such regulatory certainty is vital to encourage investment and development in renewable projects.
Along similar lines, David Martín, Co-CEO of Tikehau Capital Iberia, reaffirmed the importance of directing investments into renewable energy by fostering a stable and predictable environment that supports long-term growth. This reinforces the need for digital tools like Bluence, which provide transparency and control throughout the lifecycle of renewable assets.

Our CEO, Manuel Losada, shared a clear, technology-driven vision: advancing innovation and storage is essential to build a resilient, flexible, and efficient power system capable of adapting to increasing global complexity. Bluence’s software, with dedicated modules for energy management and resource optimization, is designed to facilitate this transformation.
The dialogue was further enriched by contributions from the audience, including Rafael Sánchez Durán, General Director of Endesa in Andalusia and Extremadura, who stressed the importance of accelerating grid infrastructure investments to fully harness the region’s renewable potential.

At Bluence by Isotrol, we are committed to enabling the energy transition through digital technologies that empower our clients to manage renewable assets with efficiency, profitability, and foresight. Events like this inspire us to continue innovating and making the path toward a sustainable, connected energy future clearer and more accessible.
We thank all participants and moderator Luis Montoto Rojo for guiding such an insightful conversation. We look forward to fostering more of these vital dialogues to advance clean, integrated energy solutions.
